Seattle Children’s Brain Tumor Program offers some of the most advanced treatments and clinical trials of any children’s hospital. Concurrently, our scientists at the labs that are part of the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research are creating tomorrow’s cures today by learning what drives brain tumors at the molecular level. By identifying the vulnerabilities of these aggressive tumors and making other critical insights into tumor biology and microenvironments, we can develop therapies that mount more powerful, durable and sustained attacks on deadly cancer cells. Philanthropy helps Seattle Children’s continue innovating in ways that are otherwise not fundable through more traditional sources of funding, as in the case of the National Institute of Health.
