Seattle Children’s Brain Tumor Program offers some of the most advanced treatments and clinical trials of any pediatric hospital. Our researchers at the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research are working to understand the biology and microenvironment of brain tumors, identifying key vulnerabilities to develop more effective and durable treatments. Philanthropy fuels this cutting-edge work, enabling innovation beyond the scope of traditional funding sources. Common brain tumor types in children include medulloblastoma, gliomas (including high-grade gliomas and diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), ependymoma, and atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors (AT/RT).
