The Run of Hope benefits pediatric cancer research at Seattle Children's. Please join me this year! It’s been 12 years since we lost our precious son, Luke. It’s so hard year after year to find the words to describe our loss. I have learned to live for him, to share his story, and to honor his legacy by continuing to fight for other children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Every single day, I know that he guides me in seeing all the beauty in this world, and ultimately I see him in my other two children, Lexi and Caleb. They are such lights, and he would be so proud of the young people that they are. Luke taught us that life is a gift, and to see the everyday small moments in the things that bring us joy, and to love unconditionally. Even in his darkest days, he smiled and laughed. He told us how much he loved us, that’s what we all should do, tell others how much they mean to you! Luke lived his short life by living in the moment, loving like there was no tomorrow, and inspiring. We all need to have Luke in our lives. He continues to make us better people, and he opened my eyes to the best of humanity! He is a bright light in our world, such a gift, and continues to touch others lives! Thank you all for allowing Luke to be a part of your life, and helping us honor his legacy with Run of Hope and the money that we raise for children affected by a pediatric brain tumor or other forms of cancer.
